Healthy and Safe Learning Plan and Operating Procedures

2021-2022 School Year

School Board Revision: 02-14-2022

Implementation Date: 02-21-2022

Dear Stewartville School District Families, Staff, and Community Members,

The Stewartville Public School District continues to be committed to the health and safety, social, emotional, and academic needs of all our students. Our priorities are to keep our students and staff safe and our schools open. Respect, kindness, and understanding among our students, their families, and our staff will be essential for all of us to be successful in the 2021-2022 school year.

The success of our Healthy and Safe Learning Plan and Procedures for 2021-2022 will be dependent on everyone in our school district communities taking ownership of the status of our communities’ health. We are all connected and our collective social behaviors will determine if we have isolated cases or an outbreak of the virus in our communities.

We are asking all members of our communities to work alongside and in cooperation with us to limit the number of cases throughout our school district so that we can remain in school and have our students in our classrooms on campus. If we have all of the protocols in place for cleaning, PPE, air filtration systems, etc. and we don’t have our community members doing what they need to do to keep the infection rate down, our efforts will be diminished. We are counting on our community members to partner with us by getting vaccinated, wearing face coverings when in public, socially distancing, washing hands frequently, and staying home if ill.

We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our school district community for your understanding and support. Together, we can and will create a positive and encouraging start to the school year for all students.

Go Tigers!

Sincerely,

Belinda Selfors
