• Amp stand

I built this amp stand with about $10 in wood. Two 1"x2"x8' boards, a 1/2"x2' dowel, and some wood screws and glue are what's needed. You can download the rough plans below (Plan&dimensions.jpg)

It was designed to hold smaller amps--I'm using it with a Fender Princeton Reverb and a Fender Deluxe Reverb. With heavier or taller amps, you may need a wider spread on the legs. You can get this if you move the pivot point higher. You may also want to increase the length of the back support if you do this.

Tilting the amp back at a 45 degree angle may seem too steep but it simplifies the construction immensely. And by keeping the amp low to the floor, this angle will point it right at your head.

Build the inner and outer pieces and assemble them with the dowel so they pivot. Then set them so they form a 90 degree angle, and attach the two cross boards that act as stops. The better you can get this fit, the studier the stand will be.
