About me:
In my current position, I apply science-based approaches to advance corporate ESG goals, tackle natural resource and biodiversity challenges facing a large corporation, and raise internal and public awareness on sustainability issues in the aviation sector.
Previously as a professional biologist working for the B.C. government, I led and coordinated projects pertaining to the management, analysis, and quality assurance/control of wildlife and angling data in British Columbia.
Recent activities:
I have been invited as an ad hoc reviewer for 10+ internationally renowned journals in ecology and environmental sciences (see Web of Science profile).
In 2021, I was invited to present as a guest speaker at Youth Summit 2021, organized online by Hong Kong Outstanding Students' Association.
In 2019, my research on atmospheric change impacts on ecosystems in boreal Canada was recognized as the top 10 finalist of Allianz Climate Risk Research Award. I presented this work in an internal seminar at UBC's Biodiversity Research Centre.
In 2015, I was offered the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship-Doctoral (CGS D) and the Killam Doctoral Scholarship (in title), which are among the top graduate awards available in Canada and at UBC respectively (see student profile).
