25 May 2009 :: Millard Canyon (and waterfall)

This is the first hike on which my wife and I took our 21 month old son: expecting him to hike. He loved it! Well, I'm not convinced he enjoyed the hike so much as just climbing rocks and `jumping' off the other side -- no, he's not a budding gymnast; my wife or I held his arms and made sure that he kept his balance and didn't break anything. But HE thought he was climbing and jumping. This is a near flat one mile hike through a shady canyon to a small waterfall; and if it were not for the rocks, I think my son could have hiked this one on his own. Best word to describe Millard Canyon is peaceful. The drive there is pretty, too.27 June 2009 :: Sturtevant Falls
