The Forest Home

(Description and drawing taken from the original 1968 sales brochure)

When you enter this home note the open view afforded up the stairs, across the living room and onto the rear patio. The massive brick fireplace dividing the living and dining rooms is open above the five foot level enabling these rooms to enlarge each other, but a visitor sitting in the living room need not observe dirty dishes on the dining room table.

You may pull your car into the built-in garage in the lower level and still have seven feet left over for bikes, mowers, garden tools and a work bench. The L-shaped family room with its redwood ceiling is large enough for you to hold an eight table bridge tournament or to have thirty of your close friends in for Wei-Chi.

Access has been provided to the space under the stairs where you may store all those items that Americans have a propensity to save. If you count this space, you can say this house has 3,280 square feet under roof. Those who are diffident could safely say 3,248.5.
