Bio

I am an instructor of philosophy at Western New England University. I was a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical biology and philosophy of biology at the Konrad Lorenz Institute in Vienna, Austria. I am currently working on projects within these fields, with particular interest in causal modeling in population biology. I received my Ph.D. in History and Philosophy of Science at Arizona State University. Also, given my name, it might come as no surprise that I really, really enjoy movies. Andrei Tarkovsky, Ingmar Bergman, Krzysztof Kieslowski, and Yasujiro Ozu are my gods of cinema.
