Characters

All characters in the grinder will be male Feegles (the kelda, if she appears, will be an NPC). While we will make several pre-generated characters for people to pick up if they wish, here are the pieces you will need if you 'roll your own':

    • Name: See the link for more details. We'll be pretty forgiving on this score (especially if it's funny!)

    • Willpower: Your basic stat, representing the number of dice you can roll for an 'ordinary' action. Everyone starts with 3 Willpower dice! Note that most bigjobs have only one or two dice; hags may have as many as... a bunch.

    • Drunkenness Talent: Each Feegle has a particular thing they're good at, which they get better at (or at least believe they get better at) the more they drink. Drink too much, though, and you'll pass out. Everyone starts with 0 Drunkenness dice in play. Click the link for ideas for picking this talent.

    • Wyrd Talent: In addition, each Feegle has a preternatural knack for something else. This should be more unique, focused, and (probably) powerful than your Drunkenness Talent. However, too much reliance on it can be harmful to your health. Everyone starts with 0 Wyrd dice in play. Click the link for ideas for picking this talent.

    • Crivens!: Pictsies are fond of cursing when confronted with things; whether your response to a matter is Fight or (rarely) Flight, all Feegles start with three boxes of Crivens! to use; if they all get used up, your Willpower will suffer. There are ways to recover, as explained under conflict.

All dice rolls are done with standard d6. If you can bring 3 dice of a single color to represent Willpower, 5 dice of a single color to represent Drunkenness, and 8 dice of a single color to represent Wyrd, that will be helpful. We'll have a bunch of d6 on hand, but many people prefer to use their own.
