History

This class was started by Mr. Gavin Furukawa and Mr. Derrick Iwata in June 2009 at the request of Rev. Ryosho Kokuzo. The class is currently lead by Mr. Iwata, Mr. Eric Kobayashi and special guest leaders. Leaders lead the class in the various Soto dances (around 35 total) that are done on Oahu, Molokai and parts of the Big Island of Hawai‘i.
