Mathematics and Physics

This book by Roger Penrose contains numerous exercises in each chapter.

A list of errata and a few solutions from the early chapters can be found at the site set up by Oxford University.

Due to an error on the page these errata do not display properly!!  They display OK now (13th August 2015).

Many more solutions can be accessed from The Road to Reality Forum or more directly from here

Forum Solutions sorted by Chapter and Exercise number can be found here

This book by Tristan Needham is recommended by Roger Penrose and is definitely a book worth reading.  However it is not an easy read.  You need at least A-level mathematics to be able to understand the arguments without undue effort.

Again there are many exercises and as I progress with the book, I will publish my solutions here.

There is also now a forum where you can start threads to discuss topics in the book. The forum is structured like the book with chapters, sections and subsections.

The blog will still be there if you prefer to use it rather than, or as well as, the forum.

I will check them both regularly.

Solutions to Exercises

Once again a book with many useful exercises which fit perfectly with the text and seem to lead naturally one after another.  Again I would hope to publish some of the solutions on this site.  Tristan Needham in Visual Complex Analysis highly recommends studying from this book alongside his own and makes many references to it at appropriate points.
