About Us

The Twin Ports Mustang Club was formed in 1998 as the Twin Ports Mustang Club and in early 2000 changed its name to the Twin Ports Mustang & Ford Club. It is the only Mustang club north of the Twin Cities. Members are from the Twin Ports (Duluth, MN and Superior, WI) as well as from the surrounding areas in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin such as up the North Shore, various communities on the Iron Range and Ashland, Spooner, Grantsburg, Wausau and as far away as the Twin Cities.

Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday January through November typically at the Superior Public Library in the winter months and various locations when the weather is nicer. Following the meeting, members cruise together to area dining establish where the social aspect of the club has an opportunity to thrive. During the summer months, cruises are set up May through October where we cruise to area restaurants to dine and socialize or attend local events.

The club annually hosts at least two car show. The annual All-Ford Powered show was held on Fathers Day at the Belknap Plaza in Superior WI. The Power on Tower Muscle Car Show is held at Benna Ford in Superior, WI, and is open to all makes and models of vehicles.

We also cruise to area car shows. We take part in National Mustang Day which is held every April 17. We typical host a Mustang owners gathering at Benna Ford on that day and cruise on either Saturday or Sunday on the following weekend.

We are a sponsor of the Spartan Hotrod Project and donated to libraries in the members' communities for the purchase of books related to Ford and the Ford family of vehicles. Fund raisers have been held during our car shows for the following: Superior Salvation Army food shelf, area animal organizations and the Richard I. Bong Veteran's Historical Center. Starting in 2019, we will be also be donating to the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund of Douglas County and the Military Assistance Council of Veterans located in Duluth, MN.
