Youth Leadership Resources

These are some resources for youth leaders including the PLC, Chaplain Aide, and other youth leader positions.

For the Patrol Leaders Council:

• The Troop Positions Chart organizes the list of positions for both adults and youth showing the chain of command at the Troop level.
• The Patrol Leaders Handbook (2008 printing) is a great resource for all scouts interested in becoming a better leader. This handbook has descriptions of every leadership position, as well as tips on how to be a better leader.
• The Troop Position Cards have descriptions of each position as well as a place to write down your goals while holding the position.
• The Meeting Agenda shows how the PLC can organize a Troop meeting.
• The ILST Syllabus has information for new and experienced Scouters on leadership. This syllabus also has plenty of activities that can be used on campouts or for pre-meeting activities.
