FRONT LOAD AND SIDE LOAD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
We offer commercial and agricultural service to all of Jefferson County. We can set up weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and on call services. We provide service on all holidays except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years' Day. If your pick up day happens to fall on one of these holidays we will service you the next business day. Please feel free to contact our office (315) 232-2162 with any questions in regards to this service.
ROLL OFF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
Roll off services can be provided anywhere in Jefferson County and limited areas of Oswego, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. All temporary containers include a two week rental. An additional charge may be applied for anytime over the two weeks. Please call when you need your temporary container removed. Thomas Trash Service does not automatically come to remove the container after two weeks. Please allow one business day for any requested on-call services.
The following items can not be placed in our containers as per New York State and Development Authority of the North Country policies:
Cardboard and/or other clean recycables (Metal, glass, etc)
Electronics
Appliances
Tires
Batteries
Hazardous materials such as but not limited to: Gasoline, kerosene, paint, chemicals, waste oils, etc.
Syringes and/or Needles need to be placed in a sealed thick plastic container that can not be punctured or penetrated (example detergent bottles or sharps containers).
Fluorescent Bulbs
Green Waste: Leaves, grass, brush, wood chips, lawn cuttings, tree limbs, etc.
Junked vehicles
Large dead animals
Septic tank pumpings
Explosives
Hot ashes
Medical waste
Should any of the above items be placed in the container Thomas Trash Service reserves the right to refuse to remove the box until prohibited items are removed and/or return them to the site if discovered after removal and/or charge an additional fee.
The debris can not exceed the fill line on the rolloff container. Any overfilled containers will be left on site until the customer removed the extra debris and will be subject to rental fees. Please ensure gate is closed and secured prior to removal. Any damages caused by the truck or the container are the responsibility of the customer. All driveways must be clear of snow or debris prior to arrival of truck. If not clear of all obstruction, Thomas Trash Service reserves the right to leave the location and reschedule the delivery/removal and possibly charge a return trip fee. RESIDENTIAL:
We provide weekly and bi-weekly residential service to Southern Jefferson County. All trash must be out on the curb or by the roadside by 7am on your designated pick up day. You are allowed (2) 33-gallon bags of trash and we ask that you wash and seperate your recycables and put them in bags or totes. All trash must be bagged. We will not accept bags bigger than 33-gallons. We pick up on all holidays except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. If your pick up day happens to fall on one of these holidays we will pick up your trash on the following business day. The prohibited items are the same as for the Roll Off service (listed above) except for we do accept cardboard and or other clean recycables, as long as they are clean and seperated. We accept payments in the form of cash, check, money order, debit card or Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover credit cards. We can accept credit card payments over the phone. There will be a $25.00 fee applied to any account with a returned check. We also offer the convenience of Automatic Bill Pay.
