Our Friends
Washington Area
Washington DC is a great place to bike. Our friends make it better:
The Washington Area Bicyclists Association (WABA): The go-to spot for DC area bicycling events, news, advocacy. We couldn't possibly know all that they do, but we know it's good. Become a member.
Phoenix Bikes: A youth-focused community bike shop in Arlington, VA. Check out their bikes sales on Friday and Saturday.
Mt. Rainier Coop: Another great coop in nearby Mt. Rainier, Maryland. We hope to grow up to be like them someday.
Renaissance Bikes: A youth-based bike recycling shop in College Park, Maryland. Check out their new roving bike shop, coming into your neighborhood soon.
Bike Shops make it all possible. There are many in this fine city:
Around the Country:
We also have some distant penpals who we (not-so) secretly idolize. To name a few:
The Bike Collective Network came together so help non-profit bike shops do our work better. Their invaluable resources are the foundation of our humble home:
The Bike Collective Starter Kit was the blueprint for our dream home. (It still is)
The List of Nonprofit Bike Organizations pulls together like-minded groups around the country. We would like to be friends with all these folks. If you're not in DC, be sure to check our your local organization.
