I have been working on the questions of farmers' suicides in India. For the last five years I have been trying to study the Bundelkhand region of Central India. Bundelkhand is a place with natural beauty, cultural diversities, political activism and a glorious past. However, gradually it is loosing its relevance due to increasing relevance of nearby regions of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh which are industrially developed and being modernized quickly unlike Bundelkhand which is still struggling to protect its historical beauty and its attachment with Gandhian movement.
I have also been working on the questions of democratization in the former Soviet Union. Presently I am teaching theories of International Politics and India's Foreign Policy.
