"All American"....AGAIN !  from 13th Place to 3rd place in 3 jumps !  Mwale Kapande finished with a personal "indoor best" of 19' 3.25" for a great finish to her college indoor career.  Her second best jump of 19' 1" in the finals would of also earned a place in the top 6.  The top finishers receive special distinction at the podium. 


  Mwale Kapande, former MP long jump state champion made "All American" again.  Her best jump was a fantastic 19' 7" at the National Outdoor meet, good enough to finish in 3rd place.  

Mwale went to school at Mt. Mercy University in Cedar Rapids.   She was on the first ballet and was inducted  into the Mount Mercy University Athletic Hall of Fame on her first year eligable.

She first earned "All America" in the long jump twice while attending Graceland University and since transferring to Mount Mercy has earned "All America" four more times in the long jump.

She also was anchor on the "All America" 400 Meter Relay in her Senior Yr.

Brittany Melloy ran for Wartburg  and was on the National Championship 4 X 400 Relay  when they won both the indoor title and the outdoor title !  These victories earned her "All America" honors.   Brittanys best time was a sizziling 53 second 400.  Brittany is also in the top 3 on the Wartburg top 400 Hurdles charts !
