Petites Ondes

"Petites Ondes" is the world's first iPad application that reproduce the classical electronic musical instrument Ondes Martenot. You can play it casually during a break for coffee.

Ondes Martenot iPad app "Petites Ondes" was used in the sound track of new movie "GOTHIC ASSASSINS (director: Milos Twilight)". http://www.gothicassassins.com/

The sound track was entirely created with only iPad/iPhone's music apps. "Petites Ondes" was used as a one of musical instrument.

1. Control drawer

Control section for dynamics, method of pitch control, timbres, and so on. Basically, controlled by left hand.

2. “Touche”

Control dynamics

1st. Touch the “Touche” by the tip of your left index finger.

2nd. Lay down the finger.

The dynamics synchronize to the motion of the finger.

4. Method of the pitch control

C (Clavier) : by the Keyboard (5)

B (Bague) : by the Ring (6)

To play by the keyboard, select C (Clavier) on (4).

To play by the Ring, select B (Bague) on (4).

The dots is guide for the correct pitch.

When Automatic keyboard sliding with pulling ring (22) is ON,

Pull up the ring: slide the keyboard to the lower pitch.

Pull down the ring: slide the keyboard to the upper pitch.

7. Timbres

O (Ondes): Sine wave. A basic tone.

C (Creux): Triangle wave

G (Gambe): Square wave

g (Petit Gambe): Pulse wave. Duty is controlled by (9). Specialized tone.

N (Nasillard): Impluse wave. Similar to saw wave.

8 (Octaviant): Mix an octave above “Ondes”. Mixing level is controlled by (8). Specialized tone.

10. Trill buttons

Pitch shift minor 2nd, major 3rd, or 5th with just intonation.

11. Keyboard hold control

OFF: keyboard work specially. A pushed key is held.

ON: keyboard work normally.

13. Keyboard sliding control region

14. Reverb button

Control Reverb ON/OFF. Linking with (19).

Note: You can control this button only when single touch. It is for defend unexpected touch when you are playing.

Open the setting window (18).

Enable/Disable help function.

21. Keyboard vibrating

OFF: keyboard work normally.

ON: keyboard vibrate to touched finger moving. The max sliding amount is quarter tone.

22. Automatic keyboard sliding with pulling ring

This method is for easy to sweep the pitch widely.

ON:

Pull up the ring: slide the keyboard to the lower pitch.

Pull down the ring: slide the keyboard to the upper pitch.

23. Pitch correction

Enable/Disable the pitch correction for playing by ring(6).

OFF: The pitch is NOT corrected. Suitable for a professional.

ON: The pitch is corrected smoothly. Easy to play.

Playing style:

Put iPad on your knee is recommended! Because of easy to add the vibrating effect emotionally.

To add the vibrating effect:

1st. Press your right index finger to keyboard (5) or ring (6).

2nd. Vibrate iPad by the finger.
