Inaugural Science Freshman at Yale-NUS College with course co-ordinator S. Adam (physics), and co-instructors J. Gruber (biology), H-C. Kang (chemistry), N. Tolwinski (biology) and M. Weissman (mathematics)

Yale-NUS College, a newly established college of liberal arts and sciences founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore is committed to an innovative curriculum that provides all undergraduate students with a broad education in the Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, followed by rigorous studies in a major to the depth comparable to programs elsewhere. So how do we achieve this? (1) Emphasis on innovative and creative pedagogical techniques such as team-teaching and team-based learning; (2) Small class sizes (our largest classes have 18 students); (3) Early exposure to research and close mentoring by faculty. More information about the Yale-NUS curriculum can be found here.
