1.-In general, the plural is formed by adding an –s.
Example: a tree / trees, a girl / girls
2.-Nouns that end with an -s, -sh, -ch and -x add –es.
Example: dish / dishes, bus / buses, peach / peaches
3.- Nouns that end in consonant +y, change to –ies.
Example: dictionary / dictionaries, country / countries
4.- Nouns that end in vowel + consonant, add –s.
Example: boy / boys, toy / toys
5.- Some nouns on –f / -fe, change to –ves.
Example: wife / wives – thief / thieves
6.- Some nouns on -o form the plural by adding -s or -es.
Example: disco / discos – potato / potatoes
7.- Irregular plural nouns
