Ministry

The three best things about being a pastor are:

• Worship: designing it, leading it, participating in it!
• Children: they are always so excited and eager to participate!
• Conversations one-on-one and/or in small groups.

I was called in October 2011 to serve at St. Stephens Lutheran Church. This is my first full-time call. I'm really excited to be there among people who are committed to know, live and share Christ.

My life as a New Testament scholar and a pastor often intersect. I was happy to write a Bible study on 1 & 2 Corinthians for the ELCA's Bible: Book of Faith Initiative.
