Additional Resources:

The Developer is a subsidiary of Ed Napleton d/b/a Canton Development Properties, LLC of 1 East Oak Hill Drive, Westmont, Illinois. The main corporate number is 630.530.3955

In 1931, Edward W. Napleton opened a small DeSoto franchise on Chicago’s south side. The company is now doing business as Ed Napleton Automotive Group. As of 2007, the Napleton family owns and operates 57 franchises in 4 states. Brian Napleton has decided to develop the Canton property and has filed for permits and created plans to demolish the final remaining Paul Revere & Sons buildings.

Goulston & Storrs is handling the development and permitting for Napleton and serves as the Boston legal counsel - the lead counselors are: Sarah Theall Lemkee, Esq. & Deborah S. Horwitz, Esq. This firm is located at 400 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, MA 02110-3333 and can be reached at 617.482.1776 (ironic phone number).

The local zoning counsel for Napleton is Paul Schneiders and he can be reached at 781.828.7373

The developer's representative is 52 year old - Rick Brandstatter of Elmhurst, Illinois who has extensive project credentials and is familiar with development in Brownfields.

Additional local and national contacts as well as interviews with historians familiar with the historic value of the property may be arranged as well as photo opportunities and phone interviews. Video available upon request.

UPDATE:

Annual Town Meeting met in May of 2008 and decided not to rezone the property. The developer has filed a request to demolish this property, threatening the future of these buildings forever. Demolition is allowed after February 14, 2009. Time is running out. The property is being actively marketed as industrially zoned property. Saving these buildings and providing an archaeological resource recovery at the Paul Revere House in Canton is uncertain.
