I collect cards for three reasons:

1. I like and admire excellent hockey Players

2. I hope one day to be a goalie in a game (not necessarily an NHL game, but any game would do)

3. I enjoy collecting & sorting cards into appropriate categories

The cards that are contained in this Personal Collection are meant to reflect my reasons for collecting hockey cards so:

1. To celebrate great hockey players and their achievements I have:

Award Winners Collection - Cards featuring players who have won the Art Ross, Conn Smythe, Hart, James Norris, Vezina and Stanley Cup Trophies from each year starting from 2005-06

Inspirational Rookie Cards - Cards featuring the rookies cards of who I feel are the most inspirational players

2. To celebrate goal tenders and all of their achievements I have:

Goaltenders Who have Scored Goals - Cards featuring Press Plates and the corresponding Base Cards of goaltenders who have been credited with a goal

Local Goalies - Three cards from the same set or subset which I feel are artistically well designed and feature the starting or star goaltender from the three teams which are geographically the closest to where I am living in that year (or to where I took a vacation)

3. To celebrate my joy of collecting I have:

McDonald's Sets - Since the passing away of my father, his McDonald's card sets which were in various states of completion have been passed onto me. I endeavor to complete those sets as something that I can one day pass on. These cards are categorically not for sale or trade.

All cards in these collections, with the exception of the McDonald's cards are available for trade or sale, if the offer is right. Please bear in mind that some of these are more sentimental than others and it might be worth your while to wait until you find someone else with a copy of these cards before offering to buy or trade them from me.

If you see a white space where a card should be, then I probably need one, even if I do not specifically mention it in my wantlist.

Thanks for reading this FAR!
