The Republic of Texas Central National Road Special Event
The Rockwall Amateur Radio Club, K5RKW is sponsoring the special event station, call sign “K5R” to commemorate the Central National Road commissioned by the Republic of Texas on February 5, 1844. Its route passed through the present counties of Dallas, Rockwall, Collin, Hunt, Fannin, Lamar and Red River.”
This special event station K5R will be operating on the anniversary of the commissioning of the road, February 5, 2021 on the 40, 20, and 15 meter bands, SSB, CW, and FT8, subject to band conditions.
When: February 5, 2022, 8am - 5pm, setup @8a, on the air by 9a
