Dr. Ragnar Björnsson

2018-2021: Groupleader at Dept. Inorganic Spectroscopy, Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion.

2014-2018: IRF-funded research scientist (research assistant professor) at the Science Institute, University of Iceland.

Education and training

B.Sc. degree in biochemistry at the University of Iceland (UI), 2003.

M.Sc. degree in inorganic chemistry with Prof. Ingvar Árnason, UI, 2008. 

PhD in computational chemistry with Prof. Michael Bühl, University of St Andrews, Scotland, 2012. 

Postdoc in the groups of Profs. Frank Neese and Serena DeBeer at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, 2012-2014.
