Raffaella Laezza, Italian architect and PhD at Università IUAV di Venezia, Italy.
She studied architecture at Università IUAV di Venezia (110/110 cum laude) , where she also obtained a Phd in Architectural design. At IUAV, she followed the courses of Peter Eisenman, Manfredo Tafuri, and
she was assistant of Franco Purini.
She is Scientific Director and Adjunct Professor of Architectural Design at IUAV's Postgraduate Master, "Emergency Temporary Circular Architecture”. She taught Architectural design at the University of Parma, Padova, Trento, Trieste, Brescia and at
Hanyang Postgradutae University of Seul, South Corea,
New York Institute of Technology, New York.
She is an architectural designer, indipendent theorist, architecture writer.
In particular, she theorised the projectual method of
Eco Generative Architecture.
From the macro vision of nature / ground line and from micro visions of nature / digital microscope
she draws the constructive genetic codes for the project
of ephemeral and sacred multireligious spaces,
as a social and sustinable response to the contemporary.. In her theory the life and birth of a building is similar to that of a living being in process.
Invited: X Venice Architecture Biennale of Architecture _"Sacred You.Multireligious Urban Space"; CEI Competition for Church in Dresano_Milano, "Hortus Sacer"; Competition for Project Piazza Castello Milano_"Parco Sonoro”with Arup.
She Built: "China Pavilion", "India Pavilion" at Fair Riva del Garda , "Eco_Media Travel Space"; "About J" at the Bisazza Foundation, Vicenza; "Sottilissimo Templum" itinerant architecture for two Italian parks in Venice and Franciacorta. Installation: "In absentia" at Fuori Salone Milano 2017 at Palazzo Cusani Brera; " Time Pavilion" at Fuori Salone Milano 2018 Material Village Smart City; "Cobo Pavilion" 2019 at Bauma, München;
She realized the Carbon Neutral certificated architecture:
" Growing Sequencing Pavilion" at Futura Brixia Forum 2022_15.000mq ;
"Vegetal Pavilion" at Futura Brixia Forum 2023_15000mq;
"Vegetal Futura Preview Pavilion" at Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Palazzo Piacentini, Rome, 2023.
"Futura Alata e Coltivabile" at Futura Brixia Forum 2023_15000mq.
Her constructions are the tactile moments of her radical theories.
She has recently published:

She is partner of "Cooperativa Impronte." Rovereto TN and
of ONLUS "Un Sogno per la vita" Trieste
both for people with disabilities.
