Liangfei Qiu (邱凉飞)

Dr. Liangfei Qiu is the PricewaterhouseCoopers Professor of Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) and University Research Foundation Professor at the Warrington College of Business, University of Florida (UF). He also serves as the ISOM Ph.D. coordinator.

His research concentration is the economics of information systems (Google Scholar Citations, ORCID). His research has appeared in premier academic journals, including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Management Information Systems,  Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Decision Sciences, and Decision Support Systems. He received the INFORMS Information Systems Society Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award and Association for Information Systems (AIS) Early Career Award in 2019. He was ranked 1st in the world in the number of publications in the top three Information Systems journals (ISR, MISQ, and JMIS) for 2018-2022, and was ranked 2nd in the world in the number of publications in the top two Information Systems journals (ISR and MISQ) for 2018-2022. 

His work has been featured in leading media outlets, such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Conversation, and ScienceDaily. He has written a book on social media analytics. 

He is currently a Department Editor for Decision Sciences Journal, an Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly, a Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management, and an Associate Editor for Decision Support Systems. He also serves as an Associate Editor for Information Systems Research special issues. 

Before joining UF in 2014, he received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin; M.A. in Economics from CCER, Peking University, China; and B.A. from Chu Kochen Honors College, Zhejiang University, China.
