The larger red box is a public easement to the surrounding properties and is owned by Monroe County.

The blue line to the right represents a small utility easement for the electric and water to the island.  



The small red line to the right represents the easement to the dock for taking a boat to the island.


To access the shore easement from land there is a parcel shown above #103170 owned by Monroe County as a right of way for the surrounding properties.

WATER DEPTH & DOCK CONSTRUCTION

The depth from the shore dock to the island is around 3 - 4 feet.   Depending on the location of the dock on the gulf side of the island the depth is 7 feet but would require a dock.   See NOAA Chart 11453

For information on adding a dock contact a local dock contractor for an estimate based on the dock you would propose to fit your needs.  The bay bottom is controlled by the Army Corp of Engineers and would require a land lease.  Most dock builders can assist with this as part of their dock construction.

Note: The shore dock will need repair as well.
