THE SAD FATE OF THE PAWTUCKET-CENTRAL FALLS STATION
Decay set in during the 1950's when passenger patronage declined and the New Haven railroad did not have the financial ability to maintain the station. After the station closed in 1960 deterioration accelerated and vandalism had a devastating impact.
