About Us

The men's volleyball club is a competitive sport club at The Ohio State University. We field 3 traveling teams: A, B, and C.

Each year, the A team will play in about 8 tournaments. The tournaments include one home tournament, two Big Ten Seeding Tournaments, the Big Ten Championships, the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Regional Championships, and the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) National Championships

The B and C teams will play in about 6 events, including our home tournament, the MIVA DII Regional Championships, MIVA seeding events, and the NCVF National Championships.

Our season starts at the beginning of Fall Semester and ends early-mid April after the NCVF National Championships. Because we are a competitive club, we hold try-outs at the beginning of each new academic year to determine team rosters. Players who earn a roster spot are required to pay annual dues which helps defray the cost of competition entry, travel and lodging, and coaching salaries. Club members are also required to participate in fundraisers, volunteering opportunities, and other club activities. Players who try out but do not make a traveling team are encouraged to continue to come to practice because a roster spot may open later in the season.
