Art Created for the Fellowship of Isis 1976 - 2011

Olivia has been creating art for the FOI since the founding of the Fellowship of Isis at the Vernal Equinox, 1976.

The first piece of art by Olivia created specifically for the Fellowship of Isis:

"Aset Shemsu" - The Retinue of Aset

Drawn by Olivia Robertson

One of the earliest and most prominent paintings by Olivia was that of the Goddess Ishtar

in the Shrine of Ishtar near the Holy of Holies, Temple of Isis, Clonegal Castle. It is inlaid

with abalone shell and rock crystal. Detail of photo by John Merron.

This drawing of the Goddess Dana by Olivia Robertson, above,

was originally featured in "The Call of Isis", chapter seven (The Awakening of Solar Fire)

with the caption "The feeling of sun and sea"

as a black and white illustration, below.

Above, the painting of Isis in the Healing Chapel was painted by Olivia Robertson and Marian Marshe in the late 1970s.

(Below) A few years ago, Olivia updated the painting of Isis, and included Osiris:

When membership certificates were mailed via snail mail from Clonegal Castle,

Olivia would often include this artwork with the FOI Daily Prayer:

"Holy Goddess Isis, Mother of all beings, come to our hearts. Grant us Thy Children, love and joy, wisdom and abundance.

We offer Thee our loving care for all who are born of Thee."

Olivia sometimes sends notes with images from her earlier works.

This one is hand colored by her. The illustration was featured in

"The Call of Isis", chapter thirteen (Stones and Stars)

accompanied with the caption "She aspired to the Stars".

"The Religion of the Goddess" published in 1982, featured cover art by Olivia Robertson. Her brother Lawrence had originally

published this work under the title "Cult of the Goddess" in 1974.

In 1986, FOI Co-Founders Olivia Robertson and Lawrence Durdin-Robertson founded the College of Isis. Olivia did not draw

the original Star of Ishtar diagram. It was drawn by the artist Chesca Potter, who created it according to information

provided by Olivia. It has been in continual use since that time.

By the late 1980s, Olivia's art was regularly featured on FOI books. The cover art for "Rite of Rebirth"

is titled "Diana and Endymion". It was first featured on the third edition of this book.

Like the "Rite of Rebirth" above, the first two editions of "Dea, Rites and Mysteries of the Goddess"

did not artwork by Olivia. The third edition, published in 1988 featured this art by Olivia.
