About Me
I participated in the sport of Amateur Boxing for thirteen years(1999-2012) and I was a competitive athlete for twelve of these years. I have had 136(111W-25L) competitive bouts, ranging from club cards to the 2005 Junior Olympics. When I started fighting my win to lost ratio was about one to one, but those were tough times in my boxing career and now losing is a thing of the past as I have been moving up in the boxing world.
I have medaled at the Canadian Nationals five times with two of these being gold medals(2005, 2010). I have also earned a bronze medal at the 2005 Junior Olympics, which was held in Brownsville, Texas and I won the 2007 Ringside World Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. During the Junior Olympics I fought the Puerto Rican and the American National Champions and at the Ringside World Championships I fought the National Champions from Mexico and USA coming out victoriuos over them both. One of my biggest victories of all as an amateur and not knowing it at the time, being against Jermall Charlo, as an amateur he held a record of 65wins and 6losses and is currently undefeated as a professional, he is the 4times IBF World Champion and ranking 4th in the world as a Middle Weight. I am currently the Alberta Provincial Champion twelve times over and the Western Canadian Champion five times over.
I train on a regular basis with some world renowned coaches. I travel to Calgary and to Edmonton regularly to get extra coaching and sparring. I train six days a week for a duration of four hours and run and do sprint every morning. My training consists of sparring, pad work, bag work, skipping, shadow boxing, and lifting weights.
My plan as a kid was to box in the Amateur ranks until I made it to the Olympics. Recently I have been inclined to turn Professional and start climbing in the Professional Ranks and one day become a World Champion. My record now stands 17wins with 3losses and 1draw, with 10 wins by way of knockout as a professional and I plan on fighting any and all the opponents that I can to move higher in the rankings.
The Goal
Turn Professional when I was physically and mentally tuned from all the Amateur experience I have acquired through out the years. Then to make a loud statement as I enter the Professional ranks and one day to become a World Champion. As you can see from my record thus far as a professional I have done this and am currently working on moving into the rankings where I will be set for a Title shot.
As of now the more time I have to devote to paying bills, the less time I have to train for the time when the worlds attention will be focused on me.
The concept of this sponsorship portfolio is to help solicit support service groups, private businesses and corporations so that high caliber athletes like myself have
the opportunity to realize their competitive goals at the highest level
of competition and to allow an athlete like myself to focus all their attention on training and competition. This support is essential to help develop elite athletes through additional training, transportation and accommodations to attend as many clubs as possible for high quality sparring, tournaments and specialized equipment. Without this support, it becomes increasingly more difficult for an athlete to reach their full potential. Other aspects that your support helps provide includes boxing equipment like boots, shorts, shirts, boxing gloves, and running shoes, also helps cover day to day expenses like groceries and living accommodations.
