14-18 February 2011, Nagoya University

Description: NWW2011 is the second of a series of workshops held in Nagoya University, which aim at achieving advances in quantum information and measurement theory, with a focus on problems in foundations of quantum theory. The workshop invites distinguished researchers from internationally renowned institutions worldwide to share their expertise on topics including (but not limited to) quantum probability theory and statistics, quantum logic and set theory, novel axiomatizations of quantum theory, uncertainty principle, quantum thermodynamics, weak measurement, quantum complexity, experimental investigations of quantum foundations, and philosophy of science.

Speakers: Viacheslav P. Belavkin (Nottingham U), Giulio Chiribella (PI, Waterloo), Giacomo M. D’Ariano (Pavia U), Julio Gea-Banacloche (Arkansas U), Yuji Hasegawa (TU Vienna), Holger F. Hofmann (Hiroshima U), Akio Hosoya (TITech, Tokyo), Andrei Khrennikov (Linnaeus U, Växjö), Keiji Matsumoto (NII, Tokyo), Milán Mosonyi (CQT, Singapore), Izumi Ojima (Kyoto U), Kazuya Okamura (Kyoto U), Paolo Perinotti (Pavia U), Takahiro Sagawa (Tokyo U), Yutaka Shikano (TITech, Tokyo), Izumi Tsutsui (KEK, Tsukuba), Yu Watanabe (Tokyo U), Mingsheng Ying (UT Sidney)
