About Us

We purchased our first dog, Newton (Murrayfarms CPT Newton Logan RN), when we got our first home in 2000. Newton was a golden retriever who went to basic obedience class so we could "live with" him. Brad wanted the golden, I wanted a Chesapeake Bay Retriever; I compromised and we got a golden.

A couple years later an obedience classmate was looking for a home for her 3 year old chessie, Hope. We took her in with the stipulation that she had to get along with Newton. It was a perfect fit!Since she had already been training Hope (Crossscreek High Hopes CD RE OA OAJ NAP OJP), I decided to start showing her first in obedience. It was 3 shows, 3 CD legs and a title! Who knew? Then I thought, what the heck, let's try agility. She was great at that too. She still competed in agility jumpers with weaves until age 11 when she was retired due to loss of sight and arthritis. Once rally obedience was introduced she easily went through her RN, RA and RE titles (we skipped the RAE since agility was her true passion.)

I was sold on my Chesapeake Bay Retriever!

I purchased Deeds (Crosscreek Dirty Deeds RN OA NAJ NJP) and began showing him in conformation. He earned 2 points toward his championship and due to health reasons we were unable to continue, but I knew eventually I would go back to conformation. Due to a severe head injury in 2008, Deeds is no longer able to compete..

Luau (Crosscreek Tropical Celebration RE DJ) was supposed to be a female Chesapeake Bay Retriever to breed. Unfortunately, his litter was all male. Brad fell in love with Luau at the breeder's at approximately 5 weeks old so he came to live with us as Brad's companion although he is partially trained in formal obedience. Luau was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy in the spring of 2015. Since then he earned his dock junior title and prior to diagnosis he earned his rally excellent title.

Glory (CH Pond Hollow American Girl CD RE AX AXJ) was purchased 5 months after Luau as a female to breed. She has very sound conformation and I have had a wonderful time showing and training her. She finished her championship at the Cleveland Crown Classic on Friday, December 11, 2009 with a best of opposite sex over specials and is now competing in obedience, rally obedience, and agility. Her first weekend showing in agility she qualified in Jumpers With Weaves. I was so proud of her getting a leg her first weekend out. She was my foundation girl to start my own breeding program.

The first puppy with the North Flow kennel name was GCH CH North Flow American Original BN RN ACT2, call name "Shelby". She was born September 18, 2010 with 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Shelby is just as wonderful as her mother and is training in multiple venues. Currently she is my niece's junior handling dog which she competes with in AKC and 4H events.

GCH CH North Flow American Exclusive CD BN RA NA NAJ CGC, call name "Kimber". Kimber finished her championship in May 2014 and is now competing in obedience, rally and agility.

North Flow Original Cocked and LockedCA, call name "Auto". We're

sure what Auto will do in his future, but obedience and possibly search and rescue may be part of it.

GCH CH North Flow Original Temptation BN RN CA CGC, call name "Siren". Siren is the pick female from her litter, she will show in conformation, agility, obedience, rally and hopefully hunting.

GCH CH North Flow Electrically Exclusive RN FDC CA ACT2 CGC, call name "Joule", has a long lineage of fine dogs to follow as does her North Flow Exclusive Edition BN RN CGC, call name "Onyx". So far they have both been doing an excellent job.
