Who is Nara?

Nara is an ordinary guy who dares to live differently and write about such life based on his

own experience.

"Versatile" could be his middle name. Writing and translating are just the peak of the ice-berg

of his activities. He is also a magnificent cook, surprising everybody with exceptionaly tasty

dishes, that are something between classical and wild, traditional and concocted, zen and tantra.

By the way--this shows in his writing as well. One of his favourite activities is performing as

a witty and inspiring speaker on various subject mattes, mostly from his books. If you get a

chance to experience his intuitive massage, don't ever say no to it!

Nara is one of the most enthusiastic initiatiors of the first eco-village in Slovenia. In his home

he uses permaculture principles and natural crop production. He likes to participate in the

organisation of quality workshops, he sometimes facilitates such workshops himself.

Children are extremely attracted to him because he tells the best tales. As children's book

author you'll get to know him very soon after the publication of his first book for children:

The Treasure of the Sumsam Island, the first of five part in the book series Pipilon.

Nara often travels abroad, but always with a good reason and purpose: to broaden his horizons

and to share experiences.

You can expect a great deal of good maners and wisdom from him but don't expect polished

politeness and respect of all the social rules. Nara does things as they seem right, according to

what's natural for a human being. He's always barefoot, he squats on the toilet, he can't fasten

a tie. Breaking the ice, pioneering, starting up new chapters in all kinds of fields -- that's Nara's life.

He's jack of all trades but master of none. What he does well, he describes excelently, so his books

and articles are a pleasure to read. Edwin Schlossberg probably described him when he said:

The skill of writing is to create a context in which other people can think.
