We are pleased to announce that our group participates in SEDIMARE, a research project funded by the European Commission under the Marie-Curie Actions of the Horizon Framework Programme. This project concerns sediment transport and morphodynamics in marine and coastal environments. Stay tuned for new PhD scholarships!!

We are pleased to announce that our group has been awarded an Energy Transition Fund from the  Belgian Ministry of Energy. The new project concerns the study of the flow and thermal phenomena that occur during a Loss of Cooling Accident in Spent Fuel Pools. 



Software for particle-laden flows and powder electrification

In collaboration with the group of Analysis and Simulation in Explosion Protection of the German Metrology institute, we are developing computational tools  to simulate powder and fluid flow operations in process industries focusing on phenomena that represent a hazard to operational safety.  Starting 2019, the computational tool pafix for the simulation of particle-laden flows and powder electrification is available as freeware

This new project, called BioCFD, is a collaboration between European and Indian institutions and concerns research for higher efficiencies and lower emissions of Indian-origin biofuel combustion.
