When people fail to obey God in the first place and do not give Him His due Right, then God misguides them and sets veils on their hearts, etc.

This concept is in the Bible too:

"Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land."

Exodus 11:10

"God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day."

Romans 11:8

"And those who strive in Our (cause) - We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily God is with those who do right."
