Introduction:

This is the first of three courses in the developmental math sequence. The focus of this course is to develop students number sense and master the four basic operations. The main topics of this course include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of; whole numbers, integers, decimals, fractions and mixed numbers. Other topics include prime numbers and factorization, basic measurement, and inequalities, .Students will also learn success strategies which help them be successful mathematics students. Topics will include note taking, study plans, and exam analysis. Students who complete this course with a C or better are eligible to enroll in mth067.
