Student Work Graphing

Here you will find your work. I have filed your work under your class. I used your first and last initial to label your files.

As I am posting your work I am noticing some common misconceptions and errors. The first concern I have is you were soooo excited about using Excel for graphing you forgot to follow all the requirements. Some of you forgot to include the write up and explanations.

For the 8th grade the last set of extra credit data created a curve. The graph model should have been curved and not straight. ;-)

When making a graph in excel, if you have two variables make sure to create a colunm for each variable.

For the 6th grade, I noticed that many of you created graphs that did not connect the total amount of chocolate that was consumed as the time passed. Ask your self this question as you look at your graph:

"Can I tell how much chocolate was eaten each hour?"

If you can clearly see that after four hours 14 pieces of chocolate had been consumed your graph was a success! ;-)

I would also say that there was some confusion for the allowance graph. Think about - were you charting weeks or students?
