Of the twelve plates which appeared in the 1885 edition (Fifth Series, Volume III) of The Ibis, Keulemans contributed nine. J(oseph) Smit and T. Smith also contributed two and one plates, respectively.
Plates X, XI, and XII were later reprinted in F(rank) L(insley) James' account, The Unknown Horn of Africa (1891). In some printings of this book, the plates were not colored.
Plate III was later reprinted, not colored, in Charles Dixon, Our Rarer Birds (1888).
