INVITED RESEARCHERS/COLABORATORS:

  • Gheorghe Morosanu (Central European University, Hungary) was invited for a research visit at the University of Craiova within the period 19/10/2017-22/10/2017 and to participate to the Workshop on Pure and Applied Analysis co-organized by the PI of this project. At the above mentioned workshop Gheorghe Morosanu presented the talk entitled On Hanusse-type chemical oscillators with diffusions.

  • Constantin Costara ("Ovidius" University of Constanta, Romania) was invited at the University of Craiova to participate within the period 20/10/2017-22/10/2017 to the Workshop on Pure and Applied Analysis co-organized by the PI of this project. At the above mentioned workshop Constantin Costara presented the talk entitled Pseudospectral radius preservers on Banach spaces.

Ph.D DEFENSE:

  • On 1st of November 2017 Tatiana Ignat obtained at IMAR the PhD degree with the thesis entitled Long time behaviour for nonlocal evolution equations.

  • On 10th of October 2018 Maria Farcaseanu obtained at the University of Craiova the PhD degree with the thesis entitled A Variational Analysis of Some Classes of Integral and Differential Equations: Eigenvalue Problems and Torsional Creep Problems.

INVITED RESEARCHERS/COLABORATORS:

  • Marian Bocea (Loyola University Chicago, US) was invited for a research visit at IMAR and University of Craiova within the period 08/10/2018-13/10/2018. During this visit he continued the research collaboration with the members of the research team of the project on the topic of eigenvalue problems for the $p$-Laplace operator. Moreover, he disseminated results obtained in collaboration with Mihai Mihailescu at the Scientific Seminar of the University of Craiova where he presented the talk entitled " New results on the first eigenvalue of the $p$-Laplacian".

INVITED RESEARCHERS/COLABORATORS:

  • Florica Cirstea (The University of Sydney, Australia) was invited for a research visit at IMAR, University of Galati and University of Craiova within the period 28/06/2019-19/07/2019. During this visit she continued the research collaboration with the members of the research team of the project on the topic of PDE's involving isolated singularities. Moreover, Florica participated to the "Ninth Congress of Romanian Mathematicians" (at the University of Galati) where she presented the talk entitled "Existence of sharp asymptotic profiles of singular solutions to elliptic equations with a sign-changing nonlinearity". Furthermore, on 10th of July 2019 Florica presented the talk entitled "Existence results for anisotropic elliptic equations with gradient-dependent nonlinearities" within the Scientific Seminar of the Department of Mathematics from the University of Craiova.

AWARDS: The paper "Asymptotic behavior of solutions to fractional diffusion–convection equations" published by L. I. Ignat in collaboration with D. Stan in Journal of London Mathematical Society was ranked as a top 20 most read paper in JLMS.
