Many things aren’t even related to constructs; raw energy that doesn’t retain form but accomplishes a task is not to be confused with a construct.  Psychokinesis, blasts of programmed or patterned energy, Telepathy, Empathy, pure Energy Manipulation… anything that originates, exists, is used or acts without ever becoming its own, independent, self is not a construct.  This does raise some controversy about psi-balls, however.
