Medical and biological imaging are perhaps the most widely used application areas of computer vision and image processing techniques. Greater Toronto Area is known for being one of the leading regions in medical imaging research. This seminar series will bring academic and industrial researchers from different fields in medical imaging, and will serve to further strengthen our medical imaging research community. The talks will be focused on computer vision and image processing techniques with various medical and biological applications, including:

    • Medical image segmentation

    • Tracking and navigation

    • Deformable image registration

    • Cell segmentation

    • Protein reconstruction from X-ray Crystallography

The aim is to meet biweekly/monthly on Mondays 2-3pm.

It will typically be held in Auditorium 6-604 at Princess Margaret Hospital, with some exceptions. See the schedule for the venue on a particular day.
