Limited Access Trails

Soft surface trails such as gravel or stone dust (e.g., Bedford's Narrow Gauge Trail), are popular with some walkers and joggers, and cyclists (usually with mountain bikes), However, people with training wheel bikes, scooters, skateboards, baby strollers, rollerblades, wheelchairs, assisted walking devices (e.g., "walkers"), and adaptive bicycles find it challenging or impossible to use a soft surface trail.

Maintenance of soft surface trails is a known issue. Grass can grow over the path reducing its use; Water runoffs will quickly erode the path.
