Programs/Activities

There are two lakes on the grounds, one in the picnic pavilion area; and the other, a wetlands lake near the clubhouse. This lake is designed so as to have a marsh area where we plant various types of grains. Suitable for waterfowl. In the year 2000 we also planted a butterfly garden. We host a fishing party yearly for the children of the community and their parents, thereby enhancing parent-child relationships. We also make our facilities available to local civic and church related activities. We also participate in the Medina County Earth Day celebrations and Family Affair. We have a Trap-shooting range and the members who enjoy the sport have an active and ongoing shoot program. It is one of our major activities. We also have 9 to 10 weeks of Turkey shoots in the fall with approximately 5 weeks in the spring.

A past project was the building of bluebird houses. We put up several in strategic places on our property, and yes, we have bluebirds. We also donated several bluebird houses.  One of our members frequently walks the bluebird trails and observes several families throughout the summer. We are in the process of organizing a Youth Group and planning on different things for the youth to do.
