Called back for part-time work - Shoreline Community College
This is nice after 49 years of working without a gap. I did return to the college for a small amount of part time work from 2019-2022 so I was there when most of the campus was a ghost town during the pandemic in 2020-2021. So my total work life was 53 years after that additional work at SCC.
2009 - 2018:
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST 2 - Shoreline Community College
Information Technology Department --- Retired: June 29, 2018.
Employed in the S.C.C. IT Department. Schedule service calls, job priorities, and streamline installations of new systems. Provide technical support to computer users who use of a wide variety of software and hardware with corrective solutions. Working in all aspects of this classification with special "website emphasis". Also worked on the deployment of "Campus OU" implementation for Shoreline Community College in the Fall of 2011 for the main website. Conversion of the 1998 Intranet began in the Spring of 2012 and continued to September 2012. Total time developing, maintaining, and final conversion of the college website to a CMS: 20 years. I continued final adjustments to the website until 2016. As you can see, this website work overlapped 3 different jobs. (Details of the Webmaster duties).

Operated conference systems using changing technologies. Started with traditional T1 line type of conference gear and later with internet web casting. I eventually resigned when the company cut reimbursements for travel to other cities.

Sole creator of the largest and most comprehensive Web Site in the State of Washington Community College System (back in 1996) - Shoreline Community College - http://www.shoreline.edu starting in March of 1996.
Completed the 1st design Fall 1996.
Completed the 2nd design change Fall of 1998.
Completed the 3rd major design change of the main SCC Web Site in August 2002.
Completed the 4th major design change of the SCC Web site in September of 2009.
Completed the 5th major "re-working" of the SCC Website with "Campus OU" in Fall of 2011.
Created the web structure of the Shoreline Community College Intranet and ongoing Webmaster of this project - Fall 1998.
Winner of the Paragon Award (Bronze) for "Innovative Uses of Technology - 1999".
Completed first major "re-working" of the SCC Intranet in March of 2013.
Total Webmaster time 22 years.
