2000 Lincoln LS Build

2000 Lincoln LS Custom Build this one is totally one of a kind!!!! 400HP Small Block Build

Ok it all began with a 2000 Lincoln LS that blew the engine... I took a small block Chevy motor installed a high lift good duration cam and started the build. First were the motor mounts made of 1/2 inch steel I created a Bracket that would allow me to use the factory hydraulic filled mounts to retain the nice smooth ride. It was at this point I found that the oil pan and sump had to be modified also. Next was the transmission I used a 700R4 with the Lock up set up to come in in fourth gear by wiring it to the fourth gear solenoid in the valve body then just supplying the solenoid with power. Next I Made the mount & driveshaft in house. I used a speed sensor from summit racing to convert my cable drive over to an electric signal I could use for my speedometer. Then I connected the Advanced Adaptor Slick fit Headers to the factory Dual exhaust. Next was the serpentine belt which turned out to be quite the task. I wanted to have Air conditioning so I made all the Brackets for the driver side of the motor the factory Lincoln Power steering pump, and A/C Compressor were retained then I used factory Chevrolet brackets on the passenger side with a GM alternator and tensioner. Next was the fuel delivery, I had to use the Lincoln Fuel pump & fuel pump computer system due to the fact the fuel computer selects which tank to draw fuel from to keep the car balanced so I used a Holley fuel pressure regulator with a built in return and ran the extra fuel back into the tank. Next I moved on to the gauges and wiring, I mounted the Oil Pressure gauge in place of the ash tray, and Installed a water temp gauge and tachometer into a pillar gauge set. Next was the plumbing, & wow digital climate control takes lots of patients. Onward and upward the car was started on May4th and took top 5 at the first car show on Jun18th I found a few bugs that had to be worked out like an extra cooling fan for when the A/C was running, And the hood scoop was not installed until a few weeks later. Enjoy the pictures and ask any questions cause it truly was a fun build.
