Luca Xianran Lin (林显然)
I am an assistant professor of finance at HEC Montreal. I obtained my PhD from IESE Business School, Spain in 2021. I have a master's degree from Thunderbird at Arizona State University and a bachelor's degree from University of Oregon. I was a visiting research fellow at London School of Economics in 2020.
My research focuses on the influence of financial institutions on firm behavior. I am a CFA charterholder. Before academia, I gained professional experience as a development specialist for an NGO in Cape Town, South Africa, an internal auditor at the global headquarters of Western Union in Denver, as well as an analyst for an investment fund in China. Fluently quadrilingual with English, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
