Gravitational Gas-Liquid Separation

Overview and Motivation

• I have been involved in modelling and experimental simulation of Gravitational Gas Separation since starting my master work in 2008. Most of this work has been done in collaboration with my MSc advisor, Prof. Oscar Rodriguez, with whom I still collaborate. This research results is required by the petroleum industry for oil production in directional wells. The experimental work was conducted at the Thermal-Fluids Engineering Research Centre (NETeF) of the Engineering School of São Carlos (EESC-USP) and received the funding of Petroleum of Brasil company (PETROBRAS).
