Sri Lanka is a linguistically diverse country. The research on these different languages exist side by side but there is little interaction between these areas of study or the scholars engaged in such research. This site collects information on research done on the languages of Sri Lanka in one place to make such research accessible in one place.

There are of course languages used in Sri Lanka in addition to those listed here. Some examples are the languages used by Borah and Memon communities in the country. We welcome any information on research on such languages as well.
