10/12/2021: Learning Session 12
On October 12, 2021, the Learning and Evaluation Team welcomed everyone to Learning Session 12: Communicating our Impact. Attended by 202 people, this day was intended to provide attendees the space to think about how they communicate the impact of their work. The session included opportunities to reflect on evaluation findings, learn storytelling strategies from a strategic communications consultant, and participate in peer-to-peer learning through a share out session.

01/15/2019: Learning Session 1
On January 15th 2019, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) Innovation 2 staff, Service Area Advisory Councils (SAAC) members, provider agencies, community partners, and evaluation team members came together at St. Anne’s to establish a culture of learning and community while reflecting on the stages at which partnerships grow and evolve.
Goals moving forward over the next three months were established in this learning sessions. Example of goals are outlined below.
Setting Processes: Some partnerships’ next step goal is to develop formal processes to guide the work. These processes may be developing a referral system or finding local accessible training for partners.
Creating Curriculum: Several agencies are eager to create and test a trauma-informed curriculum for new hires and the community which resonates and creates a shared language
Developing a Culture of Learning: Most teams recognized the importance of intentional team building and activities to strengthen relationships and support open and honest communication across agencies.
Outreach and Community Engagement: Several partnerships see value in creating space to communicate and conduct outreach within the community. They also see the value of ensuring that they are getting everyone’s voice to the table.
Organizing Leadership: Partnerships are committed to establishing leadership and developing a shared vision through a common road map or vision board.
