Available Kitties

Updated February  19, 2024

Currently we do not have any cats or kittens available.

After breeding wonderful Maine Coon Cats for years, our friend Susan has her first litter of Balinese. You can see them here.

Kattalyst maintains a small cattery, where our cats and kittens are raised as pets. While breeding to the CFA/TICA standards for top quality show prospects is a goal, cats are bred first and foremost for health and purrsonality. Pet kittens are occasionally available to approved homes.  Sometimes we will list kittens who are not at our cattery but are with very close friends and breeding partners (their kittens, like ours,  are raised as loving pets, and are given vaccines and wellness exams by their veterinarians). Many of these cats are closely related to ours! We do not broker kittens from overseas (bring in kittens simply to sell them.)  Therefore we do not always have cats or kittens available.

Please don't be offended if we ask you a lot of questions before agreeing to sell you a kitten or older cat.  We like to ensure that our kittens and cats go to warm loving homes where they will have both their physical and emotional needs met, and that the home is the right match for everyone involved. Our cats and kittens are always welcome back should it not work out. We are located in New Jersey. We do not ship our cats or kittens.

Here are some past babies for you to enjoy!

We will be glad to recommend reputable breeders in your area who have other kittens available.

Our Policy and Procedures

We have numerous inquiries weekly, despite only having a couple of litters each year. It is incumbent on the interested buyer to maintain contact on a regular basis; we're happy to answer email inquiries with an update on litter due dates. Please understand that our waiting list is not strictly chronological, as matching a cat or kitten with the perfect home takes priority over a timeline.
Previous customers or homes with cats from us or our breeding partners will generally have priority.

We require all potential "cat parents" to review and sign a detailed sales contract.  The contract is fairly detailed and states in part that the cat must not be declawed or allowed outdoors, and will be returned to us in any event that you can no longer care for it .

All kittens leave fully vaccinated for FVRCP, already spayed / neutered, microchipped, and have been examined by my veterinarian (Dr. Emily Jarvis, DVM) and with a health and genetic health guarantee. Our cattery is FeLV and FIV negative. All of our cats are registered with CFA and/or TICA and sold with registration papers.

Our first priority for our breeding program IS our breeding program. Determining which cats, if any, have breeding and/or show potential can take time.  Because of this, those cats deemed to be show quality or breed quality take priority over general pet waiting list. Therefore, we reserve the right to not sell any cat until the time of sale. Finding perfect homes for these babies is a major responsibility and one of the most difficult things we do. We screen thoroughly until we are sure that our precious ones are in homes where they will be cherished and pampered. We know our babies and their needs better than anyone and as such, we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone at any time.

We work very hard to ensure that all of our cats will be healthy, happy and live a lifetime free of diseases. As with any living creature, this is not always 100 percent possible. If you ever have a problem with a Kattalyst cat, please let us know, as we want to try to fix any health or behavior problems, and try to avoid producing future kittens with problems.
